1 Q: What is the procedure for repairing the computer hardware?

A:

1. You can login to Application System for Computer Repairment to fill in the application form.

2. Computer equipment affixed with the asset number label to confirm the school computer assets can ask for repair.

3. If you cannot fill in the application form then you can access to Computer Repair Center using public Computer of your department.  

2 Q: When the screen, mouse, keyboard or other hardware is broken, if the cost for repairing it is too high, could you please replace it with a new one instead of repairing it?

A:

1. Computer Center processing: If the Computer Center have the spares (may not be new but the effective one), then they can replace. If they do not have worthy spares then they will transfer the hardware to the Third Industry Factory.

2. Work of Third Industry Factory: The Third Industry Factory will ask to some merchandise company to estimate the cost regarding repairing or replacing. Then they will send the cost estimate to the user. If it is too high or the hardware is scrapped then you need to ask for certification proof from the third Industry factory for derogation of equipment.

3 Q: My computer is not able to boot up, then how to fix it up?

A:

1. Check that the power supply is working properly or not and that the panel light is on or not.

2. Check the power cord is plugged in or not.

3. If everything is normal, then apply for repair from the public computer of your department and please fill in the form or call to Ext-5231 for repair.  

4 Q: What shall I do If suddenly I can’t access the internet?

A:

1. Make sure that the network cable between the computer and the wall node is properly inserted.

2. See whether the host network access light is normal or not.

3. Verify that the IP / DNS / Subnet Mask / Gate Way settings are correct.

4. If everything is normal, then apply for repair from the public computer of your department and please fill in the form or call to Ext-5231 for repair.
